Trinity Lane supports a range of efforts to spread the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. One of those works is the evangelism efforts of Bro. Samson Octobre and the Javier Church of Christ in the Southern Leyte Province of the Philippines.
Spring 2021 Update From Bro. Samson Octobre*
Dear brethren,
Greetings from the most precious Lord our Savior Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and redeemed it on the Cross of Calvary.
February 22, there was a typhoon that hit in our province. We distributed some relief goods to the members at Hilaan, Javier and Jagna congregations. In the first week of March, I conducted 2 funeral services, one for a member of the church, and a prospect. Few people heard the message that life on Earth is passing and death is sure to come and we must prepare for it.
March 12, I conducted a Bible study to a prospect who consecutively attends Sunday worship and on March 14 she decided to be baptized along with another.
We have a few things scheduled for the coming months. On April 4, we will have our quarterly fellowship at Javier. A mass wedding on May 24 will be conducted. We also plan to have a men’s class about song leading and sermon outline preparation once every 2 months. Please help us pray this will materialize.
